What is a forum?

A forum is an online discussion group/area where people can exchange ideas about a common interests These are also called a newsgroups.

Nowadays you will find forums for just about every subject imaginable, many of these forums have hundreds if not thousands of active members ready to reply to your question or topic.

But there are thousands of 'dead' forums too. These are forums which do not have a large members base and are usually mainly edited only by the site owner.
