Email Set-up For Opera 7
SETTING UP AN ACCOUNT
From the Mail menu, choose New account... This will open the New Account Wizard window.
Step 1
Account Type: Regular e-mail (POP)
Click Next
Step 2
Real name: Enter your name
Email Address: Enter your e-mail address
Organization: (Optional)
Click Next
Step 3
Login name: Enter your e-mail username
Password: Enter your e-mail password
Click Next
Step 4
Incoming Server: Enter your domain with mail at beginning eg. mail.mydomain.com
Leave Messages on Server: Check to leave, uncheck not to leave
Outgoing Server: Enter your domain eg. mydomain.com
Click Finish
CONFIGURING YOUR ACCOUNT
Server Authentication
To setup server authentication for your account, from the Mail menu choose Manage accounts... Select the account you wish to add this to and click Edit...
On the Servers tab, you will find under Outgoing SMTP server a place to enter your username and password for this account. Entering this into the appropriate places and clicking OK will set server authentication for your account.
Congratulations, you've now setup Opera 7 to use your email account.
